NOURISH is an AI-enabled platform designed to help small food businesses develop product ideas, find funding, identify sources of fresh produce, select a business location and navigate regulatory hurdles.

A food desert is an area lacking consistent access to grocery stores and healthy food. They often occur in neighborhoods characterized by low-income communities.

Convergence research is an approach that:

• is use-inspired and application-oriented,
• is fed by basic research and discovery,
• integrates teams from industry, academia, nonprofits, government and other communities of practice, and
• offers intensive hands-on education and mentorship to participants.

NOURISH is currently in development. The app and web-based platform are scheduled to launch in the fall of 2025.

NOURISH is designed for anyone planning a small food business.  It can be used by entrepreneurs on their own or in cooperation with a business mentor.  It is available in multiple languages and accessible to anyone with a smartphone or an internet connection.

NOURISH is being piloted in San Diego and Imperial Counties but will be available throughout California and nationwide soon.
